Bicycling for a better life

MILWAUKEE ROAD COAST DIVISION
What a lucky guy! "John Crosby's photo narrative of his days as a brakeman on The Milwaukee Road." When I ride the Iron Horse I always think how awesome it would have been to ride the train. By the way, check the photo at the bottom of his page, minus the tracks, the trestles were the same back in the early 90s - only cables for protection as a biking path.
Ron's Trip Across America
I met Ron three times on the Iron Horse. The first time he rode by as I was making adjustments to my bike. A "Hello" was all I got out of him. I caught up with him at the Snoqualmie Tunnel. I think he was waiting for someone with a good light. The next time I rode the Iron Horse, a month later, he had ridden to Rattlesnake Lake to do some computer work. And believe it or not, I was planning my third trip, one day to Ellensburg, another month later, to which he responded that he was continuing his across America journey. So we met up at Rattlesnake Lake again. Quite the coincidence but Ron's a nice guy and we share the passion of traveling by bicycle.
